From the studio to the garden
During the first masterclass, Ingrid opened 'the virtual classroom’ with an insight into her daily life running a creative business from her studio. In this second masterclass, she shares with you her favourite place: her garden during the blooming season.
Hold your brushes
Ingrid will share with you her favourite brushes and how she uses them to paint without the need for drawing first. Learn to create all kind of brushstrokes to paint botanical and abstract paintings using not only your brushes, but alternative tools and your intuition.
Mini Abstract Collection
After a warm-up session in the garden painting botanicals, Ingrid will introduce color with a project of six mini paintings to explore the balance between water and pigment. You will be able to paint any theme of your choice, but using only your brushstrokes.
Creative Garden
To put the brushstroke and color practice together, you will learn how with little planning, but a lot of practice, Ingrid paints a watercolor inspired by her garden. She will also explain how she uses acrylic to finalise some of her paintings.
Wild Wreath
Learn to work in unusual ways to unblock the creativity and remove the fear of the white paper. Ingrid will introduce an experimental approach to have some fun and invite you to be brave while painting a watercolor wreath.
Loose Watercolor Orchid
Bonus! Learn to paint a loose floral watercolor in under 20 minutes. You will see all the steps, from planning to the process in real time. This easy, fun approach can be applied to all kinds of flowers, you just need to find your favourite one.

8. What is the difference between your in-person and online classes?
My in-person workshops are four hours long and hosted in my studio, where I guide my students to paint one main theme, usually loose florals or botanical moons.
These online master classes are designed to cover a wider range of themes, from the use of supplies, suggestions on how to gather inspiration, the importance of posture, and insights into how I work in my studio, including several demos where you can take a closer look at how I work.
